The founder Dr. Sezgin Inceel is a Munich based musician and teaching artist. He holds a PhD in Music Education from the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. His main research area is the relationship between language and music learning. He specialised in music education of bilingual children and their parents. In order to share his knowledge and expertise about this field, he initiated the music4words project. He has seen the benefits of music for language learning himself, so he decided to combine his passion with his research. He hopes to share what he has learned with the world through his articles and workshops.
Dr. Sezgin Inceel studied Music Education and Singing in Turkey, Hungary and Germany. He was involved in international projects in different countries, such as in Hungary, Spain, Denmark, France, Estonia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Latvia. He sang with the musical company ‘Ladies and Gentlemen Istanbul‘ from Turkey, as a part of which he performed with various artists, such as Sezen Aksu, Sertab Erener, Ferhat Göçer and Alessandro Safina. In 2010 he won a scholarship to be a music teacher in Munich, which soon after became his home He continues his career by being involved in different music projects as a singer, researching/writing about music-language relationship and transcultural music education as well as teaching music.
